It’s that time of year again. The summer has hit and football fans aren’t sure what to do with themselves as they wait for the new season.
The players aren’t having any problems filling their time, however.
It’s been a long couple of years for footballers around the world and the players are more than deserving of a good break.
And it turns out a lot of the world’s top flight stars are spending their summers very differently, from raucous parties to being on the main stage of a festival in front of thousands of people.
talkSPORT.com takes a look at what Premier League stars, as well as a former player, are up to.
Grealish, Rice and Robbo take Vegas
After he revealed himself to be Man City’s party animal at the end of the season, it’s no surprise that Jack Grealish is carrying on festivities before pre-season training begins.
Except, instead of his parties being in rainy Manchester, he’s having them in sunny Las Vegas.
The England international started his post-season celebrations in Ibiza, but has since been seen out in Nevada dancing away at a pool party with friends, while Liverpool left-back Andy Robertso was present too.

Meanwhile, West Ham superstar Declan Rice has also been seen out in Las Vegas, after bumping into one of his favourite music artists – Aussie DJ ‘Fisher’ – on the flight over, as the young British stars enjoy a bit of down time in Sin City.
Ox pops the question
Whilst Grealish, Rice and Robertson live it up in America, Liverpool‘s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has opted for a much more chilled out vacation.
However, he might not have been too relaxed throughout the whole trip, given he was preparing to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has been with Oxlade-Chamberlain for five years, and the couple have a son, Axel, together.
The scenic location of the proposal is unknown, but the Reds star has clearly made sure his time off has been well spent.
And hopefully he can kick up his heels and properly unwind now that Perrie has said yes!
Rashford and Ronaldo rumbling on
In true Cristiano Ronaldo style, the Manchester United legend just hasn’t stopped working, despite the season finishing almost a month ago.
The Portugal international has opted to spend his summer in the gym, as shown by his latest Instagram posts.
Looking as ripped as ever, Ronaldo simply captioned one of his selfies: “Feeling good.”
Meanwhile, fellow United star Marcus Rashford is also spending his summer in the gym.
After another disappointing season, where he scored just four goals in all competitions, the 24-year-old will no doubt be trying to get himself ready to impress new boss Erik ten Hag.
Filming himself doing shoulder presses, Rashford cuts a shredded figure in one of his latest Instagram posts.
“Three sessions in and feeling good after an amazing break with amazing people,” he wrote.
Neymar dealt a good hand
Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has also surprised fans with how he’s spending his holidays, having also travelled to Las Vegas.
It seems the forward’s talents extend beyond football, with the Brazilian superstar posting on his Instagram that he was participating in the World Series of Poker ‘Super Turbo’ tournament this weekend.
Neymar came a very respectable 49th out of 2,227 players.
He also won himself £4,000 – although that’s barely a drop in the ocean for a player who earns more than Lionel Messi at PSG.
England stars shoot some hoops
Whilst Neymar has been trying card games, some of England’s best players have trying another sport over the the United States – which is apparently the place to be this summer.
The likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Jadon Sancho, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount have all been away in California.
But whilst some footballers have gone to America to party, these lot have been playing basketball.
With the caption ‘NBA London’, the stars have been videoed shooting hoops together – with Sancho even netting a cool three-pointer.
Crouchy is back dancing
The now-retired Peter Crouch is living his best life this summer, too…
Whilst he hung up his boots some years ago, Crouchy’s dance moves that went viral this weekend deserve to be given a moment in the spotlight.
The former Liverpool and Tottenham striker was at the Isle of Wight Festival, where rock band Kasabian were performing as night fell.
And as they began playing ‘Fire’, a tall man in shades and a hoodie emerged from the darkness on stage.
And it was none other than Crouchy, who was known for enjoying a good dance during his playing days.
Not quite sure this was as good as the robot, though!
