Tyson Fury is one of the biggest names in boxing – and his pay packet ahead of the highly-anticipated Deontay Wilder trilogy fight reflects that.

He spent three years between 2015 and 2018 out of the ring following highly-publicised mental health problems and a back-dated drugs ban.

And since the 33-year-old returned, his wealth has continued to rise.

Fury would have earned modestly in his first two comeback fights – wins against Albanian Sefer Seferi and Italian Francesco Pianeta in June and August 2018 respectively – then increased his earnings when he fought and drew with Wilder in December that year.

In the years since then, the Brit has raked in money from a 2020 rematch with the Bronze Bomber that he won, a stint in WWE and a best-selling book.

But what is Fury now worth and how much is he set to make from a trilogy fight with Wilder? talkSPORT.com takes a look…

According to reports in The Sun, Fury’s net worth following his win over Wilder last year is estimated at around £70m.

The 2015 Ring magazine Fighter of the Year took home £2.3m from the controversial first meeting with Wilder in Los Angeles, as well as a cut of the pay-per-view rights.

The result of the December 2018 fight acted as a spring board for Fury as he landed a five-fight contract with ESPN and Top Rank said to be worth £80m.

That deal still has two fights left – with SportingFree claiming the Brit’s third meeting with Wilder will be a 60-40 PPV split in favour of the world champion (£22m).

The Gypsy King has also made appearances in the WWE world, making his debut in October 2019 in a match against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel. He won and reportedly earned £11.9m for his participation.

In November 2019, Fury’s autobiography, Behind the Mask, was released and reached the no.1 bestseller position on Amazon within 24 hours of its release.

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder

The trilogy bout is all set for this weekend, Saturday, October 9.

It is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with a full house of 20,000 fans set to be in attendance.

The undercard will get going at midnight UK time with the main event ring walks expected between 4am and 5am on Sunday morning.

The WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles will be on the line.

Joshua had hoped to face the winner of Fury v Wilder 3 but his dreams of unifying the heavyweight titles next year have been left in tatters after he was outclassed by Usyk.

Usyk was superb against AJ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the two will now likely face off in a rematch in early 2022.
